Now that Gible Community Day is done, the desirability of the land shark Pokemon has fallen, but players should hope for a shiny version of Timburr, Rufflet or Riolu. Lastly, Timburr, Rufflet, Goomy, Noibat and others are hatching from 10km eggs. The shiny versions of Togepi, Wynaut and Bonsly should be high on fans’ must-have list. ![]() Meanwhile, Togepi, Gligar, Skarmory, Bonsly and more will be coming out of 5km eggs. Players should hope they have the luck to hatch a shiny version of Meditite and Buizel. The egg situation for the next few months will switch up as well with Meditite, Buizel, Spritzee, Swirlix and other Pokemon are in 2km eggs. Players will encounter new Pokemon in eggs in “Pokemon Go.” (Niantic) That’s in addition to a boost in candy for catching Pokemon and a higher chance at obtaining Candy XL. June 13, players will see more five-star and Mega raids. Plus, Registeel is a force in Great League PvP. If players haven’t caught a shiny version of each, now is the perfect time to do that. Regirock, Regice and Registeel are all available until 10 a.m. The raids are off to a good start with players having a chance at the Regi trio. They’re nice surprises when you’re catching your 15th Rhyhorn of the day. I’ve encountered Swampert, Charizard and Machamp in my travels. Beyond that though, it appears Niantic has added full grown versions of some Pokemon into the mix as well. Summer and winter form Deerling will be in each area respectively. The rarer spawns in the northern hemisphere are Sableye (shiny available), Scyther (shiny available) and Combee while the southern hemisphere has Lickitung (shiny available), Chimecho and Cubchoo (shiny available). They included hemisphere-exclusive Pokemon such as Alolan Diglett (shiny available), Staryu (shiny available), Barboach (shiny available), Petilil, Treecko (shiny available), Torchic (shiny available) and Mudkip (shiny available)in the northern part while the southern hemisphere, where it’s growing colder has Alolan Sandshrew (shiny available), Alolan Vulpix (shiny available), Shellder (shiny available) and the Sinnoh starters - Turtwig (shiny available), Chimchar (shiny available) and Piplup (shiny available). In cities, players will encounter Alolan Rattata, Magnemite and Porygon while forests will have more spawns such as Bellsprout, Skorupi and Doduo. Niantic increased the diversity and tied them more to the environment. The most obvious adjustment is in the amount of spawns during nonevent days. ![]() Niantic is already off to a good start with the raids, wild Pokemon and egg changes. Players should expect some major announcements and celebrations in the next three months. That’s what makes the Season of Discovery so exciting. It also happens to be when the game’s fifth anniversary is held (It launched July 6, 2016.) and when its flagship event, Pokemon Go Fest, drops.
